NBC Radio, Kingstown 700

On 4 January 2008, on my latest DXpedition to Lista in southwestern Norway, I was looking for Jamaica on 700 kHz when I realized there also was another English speaking station, not North American, on the frequency. After examining my recordings when I came home, I sent an email to Kingstown in St. Vincent & The Grenadines asking if NBC Radio was on the air. "Yes sir we are running some test on the AM for over a week so it is already up and running", Lynford Byron confirmed. My reception report was of course sent the same day, but a written confirmation didn't pop up in my inbox until today. This was after a few phone calls (Lynford Byron confirmed my reception on the phone) and several emails to Kingstown.
Thank you, Lynford, for this confirmation and for country no. 219 in my QSL collection.

This was my QSL no. 500 from Latin America!

KMZK Billings MT 1240

A tentative reception of KMZK Billings MT on 18 October 2007 isn't tentative any more, after I received this email from Herm Elenbaas just minutes ago: "Dear Amstein: You did it!!!! You caught us. Better than a 25" trout I'm sure. :) I heard a little snippet of 1240 KMZK on your clip. Good job. [...]" I've never in my life got a sea trout, so I can't compare. But this QSL was great!

WSHY Lafayette IN 1410

Probably I spent too much time in the upper AM band during the KONG17 DXpedition - I missed a lot of stations between 910 and 1080 kHz because I used my second SDR-IQ between 1410 and 1600. This fact made it extra nice to discover a new station on 1410. Thanks to OJ Sagdahl for finding this station first, and to OJ and Bjarne for v/s and email information.
Arthur A. Angotti III, President, confirmed my 16 October 2007 reception today:
"Hello Amstein – WOW! That is the best sounding recording yet. You have indeed picked up 1410 AM which is simulcast with 95.7 FM the Wolf. Thank you for taking the time to write me and let me know that you picked up the station. I can’t believe our little AM signal is making it all the way to Norway."
